Roasted Brussels Sprouts

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. Brussels Sprouts The follow ingredient amounts are estimated:
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tbsp (?) garlic powder
  • 2 5-finger pinches of Diamond Kosher Salt
  • 1 tbsp (?) extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp lemon juice

Procedure

  1. Preheat oven to 425F
  2. Trim Brussels Sprout stems and halve (quarter larger ones)
  3. Dust the Brussels Sprouts with baking soda (This helps with browning. Too much will make them too mushy.)
  4. Add garlic powder and salt
  5. Toss sprouts and seasoning
  6. Add olive oil and toss to coat
  7. Spread sprouts on parchment covered baking sheet with flat side down
  8. Bake until tops of sprouts start to brown
  9. Remove from oven and give a light splash with lemon juice
